The businessman Theodor Zimmermann joins the bombed-out company as a general partner. He succeeds in reactivating the old customer relationships. A short time later, the company is able to invest in its first machines again.

In the Altmühl valley, a handmade paper mill is taken over and modernised and expanded as the Schellneck paper mill. In the 1970s it is announced that the Schellneck paper mill will have to close to make way for the expansion of the Ludwig Canal.
