High quality and unhesitating food suitability are the most important criteria in the production of solid cardboard food packaging for mushrooms – and, of course, all other foods.
This starts with the solid cardboard and continues with the glue used. The mushroom basket is made from food-grade cardboard and glue and also has a PE coating that meets all the requirements for polyethylene products. Thus, even moist and greasy food can safely come into direct contact with the solid cardboard food packaging for mushrooms. At the same time, the stability of the mushroom basket is preserved, because the moisture can not move into the cardboard.
The low-migration MGA printing inks and varnishes we use are also safe for food packaging and meet all criteria and legal requirements, such as Regulations (EC) 1935/2004, (EC) 2023/2006 and the German Food, Commodities and Feed Code (LFGB).

Individual design for unmistakable quality
One of the advantages of solid cardboard food packaging for mushrooms is the possibility to personalize it (for example with your company logo), in contrast to conventional mushroom packaging made of wood. To ensure that the fresh mushrooms are not contaminated in any way by the contents of the packaging, HvC only uses low-migration MGA inks to print the mushroom baskets.
