DEVELOPING APPLICATIONS

Paperboard sleeves.Group products. Show your brand.

A paperboard sleeve groups products and creates space for your design. Two concepts illustrate the different requirements of closed containers and textile products.

Paperboard sleeve for twin packs

Present two already closed containers as one retail unit.

A printed paperboard sleeve provides space for branding and promotional information while leaving parts of the product visible. Dimensions, retention and application are developed around your original containers and checked with a physical sample.

The sleeve complements the existing primary packaging. It does not replace the closure or any required product barrier. Whether an open blank holds the pack together sufficiently must be checked with the actual containers.

What needs checking with the actual product

  • Container shape, dimensions and combined weight
  • Retention against slipping during handling and transport
  • Sleeve closure and manual or machine application

Paperboard bands for textile and household products

Group and label dry cloths and textile products.

A custom printed paperboard band leaves the product material and colour visible. We adapt the blank and fit to the actual bundle and assess retention and handling using a product sample.

A soft textile bundle changes shape when gripped or compressed. Its folds, compressibility and surface therefore matter alongside its overall dimensions when designing the band.

What needs checking with the actual product

  • Folding pattern, bundle circumference and textile compressibility
  • Fit without slipping or unwanted pressure marks
  • Handling during packing and presentation on the shelf

BEFORE YOUR ENQUIRY

What to know for your project.

What information does HvC need for a paperboard sleeve?

Share the product dimensions, weight, intended quantity, artwork and planned manual or machine application. For bottles, the shape and arrangement of the containers matter; for textiles, include the folds and compressibility of the bundle. An original product helps with structural design and sample checks.

How are the board and fit selected?

Board grade, grammage and blank design are coordinated with the product weight, artwork and packing process. The sleeve needs to fit the actual container or textile bundle. Retention, removal and handling are therefore checked using a product sample.

Are the illustrated sleeves ready-made standard products?

No. The illustrations show concepts, not manufactured samples or standard products available to order. The individual construction is developed for your product and checked with a physical sample. A sleeve complements existing primary packaging; it does not replace any required closure or product protection.
