Solid board, the ideal material

Pharmaceutical or drug packaging has long since ceased to be a mundane folding carton and must now meet high standards in terms of safety and handling. Cardboard is the ideal packaging material for medicines: light in weight, it protects the contents from light and also has by far the best environmental values, while the packaging also complies with pharmaceutical legislation.

Counterfeit protection & senior friendliness

Product piracy is an issue for retailers and consumers, especially in the development-intensive pharmaceutical industry. Patients must be sure that they are taking the prescribed original preparation. This security is provided by pharmaceutical packaging or drug packaging that allows original brands to be clearly identified, where again solid board ideally fulfills its purpose.

Child safety first

In cooperation with the packaging industry, pharmaceutical companies have been developing pharmaceutical packaging with complex opening mechanisms for several years – which, for example, can only be opened when two dark blue dots are pressed simultaneously – an impossible task for children.
