Define the right specification.
Structure and closure
Will the carton be erected by hand or on a packaging line? Should it reopen, hold individual items in place or carry clearly visible information? These requirements help determine suitable tuck flaps, tuck-in, automatic or glued closures. Product fit, removal and closure are considered together. An existing carton or drawing helps identify details to retain and changes you need.
Board, printing and converting
Board grade and grammage are coordinated with the structure, weight, artwork and packaging process. More material does not automatically produce a better solution: grain direction, creasing and folding also affect function. HvC combines development, offset printing, die cutting, embossing and gluing in Windeck. Where required, we coordinate special finishes such as hot-foil stamping or relief varnish with specialist partners.
Check a sample before series production
A physical sample allows product fit, opening and handling to be assessed. Insert the intended product and consider removal and the packing sequence as well. For automated packing, the requirements of the customer’s line are considered early in development; suitability is tested under realistic conditions. HvC manufactures the packaging. Filling and packing your finished products take place within your process.

What is a solid-board folding carton?+
A folding carton is die-cut, creased and usually glued from printed or unprinted board. It is delivered flat and erected during packing.

Which finishing options are available?+
Depending on the requirements, options include coatings, embossing and other visual or functional finishes.
