Machine compatibility starts with structural design

Erection behaviour, restoring forces and closure geometry influence whether a folding carton can be reliably picked from the magazine and processed. Dimensional tolerances, board thickness and grain direction also affect the process.

Machine data and existing reference samples should therefore be incorporated into development early. For new or modified structures, a line trial under real conditions is particularly valuable.

Reproducibility in series production

The following points, among others, are relevant to stable running:

• Consistent material properties within the agreed specification
• Precise cutting outlines and creases
• Defined gluing and flat-lying cartons
• Controlled storage and climatic conditions
• Clear approvals and documented changes

Test together

The actual performance of a folding carton becomes clear through its interaction with the product, machine and process. HvC develops and produces the packaging; filling, product assembly or fulfilment are not part of our services. For process approval, we work closely with the customer's technical contacts.
